Privacy policy
Last updated October 24, 2026
This policy explains what information GivingSync collects, why, and what you can do about it. GivingSync is operated by Franco Tralice, a sole proprietor based in Argentina. Contact: support@givingsync.com.
Information we collect
- Account: your name and email address, and the name and time zone of your church. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us, and nothing else from your Google account.
- Connections: encrypted access tokens for Planning Center and QuickBooks, your Planning Center organization ID and QuickBooks company ID and name.
- Giving data: for each gift, the Planning Center donation ID, dates, amount, processing fee, fund split, payment method type, batch, campus and refund status. We do not collect donor names, contact details, card or bank details, or check numbers.
- Accounting data: the names and IDs of your QuickBooks accounts, classes and locations, your mapping, and the journal entries we create.
- Billing: handled by Paddle, our reseller. We receive your subscription status, not your card details.
- Technical: server logs (such as IP address and request time) kept for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
Only to provide and support the Service: to sign you in, sync your gifts to QuickBooks, show you previews and history, send service emails (sign-in links, sync problems, trial and billing notices) and keep the Service secure. We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.
To see which pages people visit and how many start a trial, we use Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, doesn’t identify you or follow you across sites, and receives only the page address (without query parameters), the referring site, and your browser, device type and country. It never sees donor or giving data.
We advertise on Google. On our public pages, sign-up and sign-in, we load the Google Ads tag, which sets advertising cookies so Google can tell us when someone who clicked one of our ads starts a trial. Google receives the address of those pages, the ad click identifier and information about your browser and device, and handles it under its own privacy policy. The tag isn’t part of the app’s pages and never receives your church, Planning Center or QuickBooks data. You can limit ad personalization in your Google account or with your browser’s cookie settings.
Apart from those advertising cookies, the only cookies we set are needed to keep you signed in and to secure the connection flows.
Service providers
We share data only with providers that help us run the Service:
- Vercel (hosting and privacy-friendly web analytics) and Neon (database) — United States
- Inngest (background jobs)
- Resend (email delivery)
- Paddle (payments, as Merchant of Record)
- Cloudflare (domain and DNS)
- Google (advertising: conversion measurement on our public pages)
And, at your direction, with Planning Center and Intuit (QuickBooks) to perform the sync.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. When you disconnect an account we revoke and delete its access tokens immediately. You can ask us to delete all of your church’s data at any time by writing to support@givingsync.com; we will do so within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (such as billing records held by Paddle). Journal entries already created in QuickBooks stay in your books.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your information, or object to its use, by writing to us. We’ll answer within 30 days.
Security
See Security & privacy for how we protect your data.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy we’ll notify account owners by email before they take effect.
